Handmade Kitchens
Built by hand,
built to last.
Every Kemp kitchen is handmade in our Manchester workshop. Not assembled from flat-pack components, not mass-produced in a factory — genuinely crafted by hand using traditional joinery techniques and the finest materials.

The result is a kitchen with a depth of quality you can see and feel — from the weight of the drawers to the finish on every surface.
Discuss Your KitchenCraftsmanship in detail
Traditional Joinery
Mortise and tenon, dovetail, and dowel joints throughout. The techniques that have stood the test of centuries.
Hand-Finished Surfaces
Every surface is sanded, primed, and finished by hand. Multiple coats, rubbed back between each one, for a flawless result.
Solid Timber Construction
Frames, doors, and drawers built from solid timber — not chipboard or MDF with a veneer overlay.
Bespoke to the Millimetre
Nothing is off-the-shelf. Every dimension is tailored to your exact space, maximising storage and visual harmony.
Frequently asked questions
What does 'handmade' actually mean?
Every piece of cabinetry is built by hand in our Manchester workshop. We use traditional joinery techniques — mortise and tenon, dovetail, and dowel joints — alongside modern precision tools. No flat-pack, no factory assembly lines.
Is a handmade kitchen more expensive?
Handmade kitchens start from around £20,000 excluding VAT. While they cost more than factory-produced alternatives, the quality, durability, and personalisation are incomparable. A handmade kitchen is built to last decades.
How long does a handmade kitchen take to build?
Typically 6-10 weeks in the workshop, depending on the size and complexity of the project. Installation usually takes 2-4 weeks on top of that.
